Majestic Wine is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, offering a wide range of wines, spirits, and beers. Known for its personalized service and curated collections, Majestic wanted to enhance its online experience and improve conversions, particularly around promotions and checkout.

The Project

In 2022, Majestic Wine undertook a CRO project to boost online sales by optimizing their promotions, improving checkout processes, and increasing engagement with their wine recommendation engine.


The Challenge

Majestic Wine’s website struggled with:

Research & Planning

Through A/B testing and user surveys, I identified that:

  • Personalized recommendations weren’t being seen by many users.

Results

Conclusion

The CRO project for Majestic Wine significantly improved the online shopping experience by streamlining checkout and enhancing promotions. The focus on reducing friction in key user journeys directly contributed to higher sales and improved engagement with the brand’s unique wine recommendation features.
